Lactation Love: Human Milk Feeding In LGBTQ+ Families

LGBTQ+ Lactation Love Zine

The New Mexico Breastfeeding Task Force is pleased to announce we are accepting entries for our online/printed zine “Lactation Love: Human Milk Feeding In LGBTQ+ Families” – Entries will be accepted from June 2 - September 21st, 2023 and artists may submit a maximum of three works. The call for entries is open to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ+) individuals. We are seeking artwork, photography, poetry, and non-fiction writing that expresses authentic and diverse viewpoints from the LGBTQ+ experience on human milk feeding. Applicants are encouraged to show us what being an LGBTQ+ person who provides human milk for your baby means to them and express what their Pride looks like.

NMBTF acknowledges that language matters and wants to ensure that all families see themselves represented, and aims to support all parents on their lactating journey.

“LGBTQ+” is an acronym used to refer to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, other gender identities and sexually diverse groups, including intersex and asexual individuals.
