The New Mexico Breastfeeding Task Force promotes chest/breastfeeding and supports parents, families, and communities by:
- Creating supportive environments in which chest/breastfeeding is the cultural norm
- Taking steps to realize the vision of a world without barriers to chest/breastfeeding
- Grounding our work in evidence-based practice, respect for all, consistent messaging, support, all voices heard, diversity, inclusion, and transparency
- Working to bridge the gap in chest/breastfeeding disparities by ensuring all families have the support they need to reach their chest/breastfeeding goals. A chest/breastfeeding culture includes all forms of feeding human/mother’s milk, including pumping, donor milk feeding, and milk sharing
