Mother's Day Friend-raiser

Donate Now

Dear Friends and Partners,

NMBTF is overjoyed to share the news of our spring friendraiser, happening this May—a special time to honor and recognize the invaluable role of mothers, parents, and caregivers in nurturing the well-being of our children, families, and communities. As we celebrate the importance of maternal and familial health, we extend a warm invitation for you to join us in championing our mission to make a meaningful impact on lactation support and education. As Mac Bowen, a valued board member, eloquently put it, "Investing in lactation is the single most important public health investment we can make," underscoring the profound significance of our work in shaping the future of our families and communities.

In 2023, we had the privilege of connecting with communities at 48 events statewide, ranging from health fairs to baby showers, conferences, and educational gatherings. Through our Workplace Technical Assistance Program, we provided essential support to 22 employees, employers, and businesses across the state, fostering a nurturing environment for lactating families in their workplace settings. Furthermore, we achieved significant milestones, including the successful launch of the CBS training cohort and the introduction of the Pathway Scholarship, resulting in the addition of eight more dedicated lactation care providers to serve their communities.

Our unwavering commitment to inclusivity and empowerment was further exemplified through initiatives like the inaugural Semana de la Lactancia Latina/Latinx Breastfeeding Week, where we celebrated and uplifted Latinx breastfeeding families nationwide. Your support plays a pivotal role in sustaining and expanding these efforts, empowering birthworkers to provide inclusive and supportive care to all families. Together, let's continue building a more inclusive and supportive community where every family has access to the resources and support they need to thrive. Please consider making a donation today to help us continue our vital work.
