    • New Mexico Breastfeeding Task Force

    • The New Mexico Breastfeeding Task Force promotes lactation and supports mothers, families, and communities by:

      • The mission of NMBTF is to create environments in which lactation is the norm and human milk is available to all infants and children.
      • NMBTF’s vision is a world without barriers to lactation.
      • The values of NMBTF include evidence-based practice, respect for all, consistent messaging, support, all voices heard, diversity, inclusion, and transparency.
      • The purpose of NMBTF is to bridge the gap in breastfeeding/chestfeeding disparities by ensuring all families have the support they need to reach their breastfeeding/chestfeeding goals. A breastfeeding/chestfeeding culture includes all forms of feeding human/mother’s milk, including pumping, donor milk feeding, and milk sharing.

    • $35/hour for up to 50 hours a month
    • McKinley, San Juan, and Cibola counties.

    Join our team as a Northern Coreteam Member to help drive the 2025 Action Plan. If you're passionate about lactation support, community outreach, chapter development and workplace advocacy, this role offers a chance to create meaningful change for families.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate on 2025 Action Plan goals.

    • Support recruitment for the Lactation Professional Workforce Development

    • Engage in lactation support initiatives, including outreach, workplace, and chapter programs.

    • Maintain Northern chapter webpages, social media, and resources.

    • Develop strategies for maternal health in underserved areas.

    • Strengthen workplace support programs and ensure state law compliance.

    • Identify new partnerships to expand workplace efforts.

    • Participate in key organizational events.

    Qualifications:

    • Passion for community support and maternal health.

    • Strong organizational and communication skills.

    • Experience with social media and web content.

    • Knowledge of state workplace lactation laws is a plus.

    • Problem-solving mindset, flexibility and adaptability.

    Note: This is an independent contractor providing professional services to NMBTF. Contract position requiring travel in McKinley, San Juan, and Cibola counties. Reliable transportation and driver's license required.

    Compensation: $35 per hour up to 50 hours a month. Please note that the hourly rate is fixed and non-negotiable.
